Prior to that, I held an Assistant Professor position at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where I was a director of the inpatient psychiatry consultation service at Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center and led an Outpatient Eating Disorder Clinic in Columbia, MD. I have also worked as a staff psychiatrist in the partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient program at The Renfrew Center in Baltimore and held an academic appointment of the Assistant Professor at the Georgetown University. I have collaborated with several bariatric surgery programs to help establish guidelines for psycho-social evaluation process and I have extensive experience in treating patients who developed disordered eating following various weight-loss procedures.

I completed my consultation-liaison psychiatry fellowship at Georgetown University/National Institute of Health/Washington Hospital Center, and I graduated from the residency in psychiatry at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, OH, where I served as an Education Chief Resident.
