I’ve dedicated my professional career and I have over a decade of experience treating patients with eating disorders across different settings and levels of care.

Before I founded RecoverED, LLC, I served as a Medical Director at The Center for Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt, nationally renowned, comprehensive eating disorder treatment program. Prior to that, I held an Assistant Professor position at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where I was a director of the inpatient psychiatry consultation service at Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center and led an Outpatient Eating Disorder Clinic in Columbia, MD. I have also worked as a staff psychiatrist in the widely recognized partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient eating disorder program - The Renfrew Center and held an academic appointment of the Assistant Professor at the Georgetown University. I have collaborated with several bariatric surgery programs to help establish guidelines for psycho-social evaluation process and I have extensive experience in treating patients who developed disordered eating following various weight-loss procedures.

I am a board-certified psychiatrist, a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and I have a sub-specialty training in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry that focuses on the care of patients with comorbid psychiatric and general medical conditions. I received a Fellowship award from the American Psychiatric Association for my dedication to the psychiatric profession and a prestigious Johns Hopkins Medicine Clinical Excellence Award for the outstanding contributions to patient care.
